アムレクの呻吟するところだとは言っても、リー作品で「夢」についてどう語っていたのようには、まだあまり言えていないな。ストーリー中で神秘的なヴィジョンを夢に見ることはたびたびある。
わたしの関心は前回のシャドウファイアとかタマスターラーというそれで、必ずしも眠って見る夢ではないが、夢に必ず現れる事は知っている。魔術と夢の関係も知っているといえば知っている。"The gods torture us in our dreams. Has this ever occurred to you?" と言われれば、ある。何年も眠るたびに悪夢に苛まれたことはある、今もそれから自由なわけでもない、はある。
19まで。やはり苦い夢、だが美しい夢と、悪夢のこと。
ヤヌルのキャラクターは作者が途中から興が乗って盛っているようで、即興的にその思いつきになったのでなければたぶん最初に退場してそれきりだったと思う。リー作品の脇役にはまたその印象も多くて、よく言えば予想外のキャラが予想外に成長するというか。
